How To Reduce Swelling In My Legs?

I am a type 2 diabetic I have noticed in the last couple of days swelling in my legs, from my knees to my toes. My Doctor prescribed lasik for me last year and I have been taking it as prescribed. I am wondering if there is anything I can do short making another doctor visit? My legs are so swollen they feel like they are going to pop.
