How To Treat Mucormycosis Fungal Infection?

My father had convulsions before last couple of weeks, We did MRI and CT scan of brain, after that, doctors from well known hospital (Ruby hall) from pune suggested that there needs to be surgery done, we agreed on surgery, the byopsi report of removed tissues showed that its fungal infection called mucormycosis, now we have started treatement of Amphotericin B on him for this infection, I have question that whether this is only one reason behind convulsions or any other reason is there, and are we on the right track for the treatement?
