How To Treat Pain And Bleeding After A Cyst Burst?

I am 44 years old, married for 20 years and have two grown up children. I had a Bartholin cyst (a huge one, the size of a golf ball)for the past 3 months that developed into an abscess last two weeks. The abscess burst at home just 2 days prior to my getting a marsupalization. My question is, its been over 4 days now since the cyst burst, but I still have slight pain, some amount of discharge. Is this normal? Should I go ahead with the marsupalization as advised by my gyn?I have had a history of Bartholin abcesses but all of them burst on their own. The cysts started with my first pregnancy. There was a gap in their recurrence for more than 8 years. Its been 3 years since I have been getting them almost every year. Please advise.
