General & Family Physician, Dr. Nishad BN's Response
Hi Thank you for asking HCM. I have gone through your query. For seborrhoeic dermatitis you need maintenance therapy after treatment. Using shampoos with selenium sulphide or ketoconazole and salicylic acid shampoo will be helpful for this. You can use this twice weekly. Corticosteroids can be used judiciously in acute phase also. A proper follow up with a dermatologist is well appreciated. Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear. Thanks.
