I Had My Nose Cauterized A Little Over A Week

I had my nose cauterized a little over a week ago (well - he did it without asking if it was something I wanted to do) and I’m on chemo right now. I wish I hadn’t. It was a large area of my nose and the scab never hardened. Instead, without blowing or picking or anything, the yellow scabs would just slide out of my nose. The area has shrunk, but no hard scabs, and my nose looks just as blood red as it did before. Did it basically not really heal/work? Immediately after, my nose poured snot for 11 hours(and through the night), and the next day my tongue swelled up and my mouth became really sensitive. I basically chewed on my tongue and kept accidentally biting it when I talked for an entire week and it was extremely painful. I know this was the anesthesia. Was this a normal reaction to this anesthesia or should I avoid it permanently? (Like when doctors ask if you’ve ever had any issues with anesthesia) - And what is the anesthesia they use for your nose called? Thank you for your help!
