I have been researching hearing aids and have seen some for upwards of $6000 and others like, Widex, Nano, Phonak, etc advertising for far less. I have read about aids vs amplification devices. Some of these less expensive models come with multiple sound programs also. They are usually available on line and some are made by the major hearing aid companies. Are they worth a try as opposed to dropping thousands of $ for an actual name brand hearing aid?
