Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I recently had an in-grown toe nail on second toe (next to big toe) which went unnoticed due to no pain until self pedicure showed the toe nail had stated to peel on opposite of same toe. My history is the formation of bunions and pushing of large toes inward; I worked in healthcare and have very small feet (women's size 4 shoes), high arches and could find only one make of expensive "clinic" shoes which I thought was fine with the wide front until the formation of the bunions by the "rubbing" sores which incidentally appeared below of the now affected toe. Are there any correlations between these so called in-grown toe nail (sores?, not fungus), nail splitting to poor blood circulation diseases/heart disease? There seems to be a lot of talk now days regarding this. Thank you, WebMD for your time; I await your reply...
