I Was Diagnosed With Ulcerative Colitis Just Over Two Years

I was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis just over two years ago and was treated with mesalamine enemas and eventually prednisone because of bleeding. There was little, if any, diarrhea. I recovered completely with no relapses for two years. Now I have some very mild early symptoms and because I have mesalamine left from previous treatment I propose to begin using it. What changes in diet, other than eliminating simple carbohydrates, do you recommend?
