Is Avil Given For Fever And Swelling?

My sone bitten 2-3 places at his back , leg and on head , but, thorns are not there and he did not get fever and there is no swelling also ? Dr Gave two types of tablets in school and mom i have given him Avil 25 mg ? If invisible thorns are there does it affects him ? Kindly give me the suggestion.
