Is A Rash On The Chest After A Mosquito Bite A Matter Of Concern?

My wife has been bitten by at least 10 mosquitoes and has bites on her leg And now she is forming a slight rash on her chest. We live in the Louisiana where West Nile is common It’s not too severe the rash But should she be concerned? And I have no idea if the rash is associated with mosquito bites

Hi,

The rash could be an insect bite hypersensitivity reaction. But final diagnosis could be made only after clinical examination by a dermatologist. You can take an antihistamine tablet for a week. If your rash worsens or if the rash does not respond to a week treatment with antihistamine, you should consult your Dermatologist.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
