Is An Epidural Shot Effective In The Treatment Of Leg Ache?

my doctor suggested the epidural injection for my wife s leg pain, but I still hope to give time a chance to heal her pain if it might happen. My question: what is the real chance of getting better from this injection and risk, and what is a good decision at this point?

Hi,

Epidural shot is a last resort and you can try analgesics like Tramdol or Gabapentin for pain relief. If routine analgesics fails, you can go for epidural shot, it is temporary option and you have to refill the drugs for sustained pain free intervals. Nothing much to worry as it is a safe procedure.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
