Is Fibroid Tumors A Cause For Frequent Miscarriages?

I am a 31 yr old woman. I have numerous fibroid tumors, my gyn said at least one is the size of a 6 week old fetus, but I have numeroud others. I have to get sn internal ultrasound to find out how many tumors I have in total and also to find out if they are affecting my fertility. I have had 1 miscarriage in the past, and I may have had an extremely early term miscarriage last month. However, it wouldve only been 2-3 weeks into my pregnancy, if I was pregnant. The gyn said there would be no way to tell for sure if it was a miscarriage or not. Anyway, my primary question is: should I begin taking EGCG (green tea extract)? I recently read on webMD that there have been trials using EGCG that have been effective in shrinking fibroids, and in some cases killing fibroid cells. Is there any benefit or any risk in taking this extract?
