Is Irregular Usage Of Birth Control Pills A Concern?
: Quick question: i have been on tricyclin 28 day birth control for about two years... long story short. i had an extra pack with the last half of pills still in the package and i lost a previous package so i decided i could just take those that i had(everything was normal). But i forgot to put my label on my package since my week started on a wednesday which caused my stupid head to take 4 of the third week pills over the last 4 days when i was suppose to be on my sugar pills. my period is now late and i was wondering if i should just start my new pack on wednesday like it s scheduled or if i should start my sugar pill week today and give my body that break from the pills to get my period and then start my pills in 7 days again... i hope this wasn t too confusing to understand

The oc pill pack you are taking has first three rows & fourth row is sugar row (which causes withdrawal bleeding or period). You had taken excess 3rd line pills with hormone in it, so your periods are delayed. To avoid further confusion, you either take remaining sugar pills in the pack you are using just now OR wait for a week without taking any pill for bleeding to start & then start with new pack of pills on 5th day of periods & then follow regular pill regime as per advised.
