Is It Normal To Have Bleeding After Each Intercourse Along With Normal Menstruation?

It had been about 2 years since I last had sex, I recently became active again. The last two times I've had sex I've been about 2 weeks out before my period was to start, after sex it starts, goes for about a week, stops, then starts when it was suppose to. Why is this? Is it common?
