Is Norethisterone Recommended To Skip Menstrual Cycle?

Can norethisterone be prescribed to skip a menstrual cycle? I asked my pharmacist about it and he said it comes in the form of Micrornor which is a 28 day pill. However I read Norethisterone can be taken up to a max of 2 weeks and is taken 3 times a day.
