Is There An OTC Medication That Can Be Taken Along With Zanaflex For Muscle Spasms?

I am taking Zanaflex for muscle spasms in my back. The doctor at the hopital prescribed them to be taken .5 pills every 8 hours. However my pain comes back before it s time to take another. Is there some over the counter medicine I can take in between doses?

Internal Medicine Specialist 's  Response
Hello,

You may take NSAIDs along with muscle relaxant if you don't have any renal failure or Peptic ulcer disease.

Use tablet Pantoprazole along with painkillers medication. Apply local diclofenac sodium gel at the site of pain.

If symptoms not improved please consult your physician he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
