Is There An Alternative Of Cipro For The Treatment Of Diverticulitis?
I have been diagnosed with diverticulitis and was prescribed Cipro 500mg. When I picked it up and read the information, and found out all of the serious side effects, it scared me to death. Is there another antibiotic that can be prescribed to help me.

Hi,
If it is simple diverticulitis, you shouldn't use antibiotics. If you are very ill from it or have a fever, you could try Metronidazol 3 times a day for 5 days.
