Is This Normal Of Having Staples In Stomach After Hernia Surgery?
Hi, I had an umbilical hernia surgery few years back got a severe infection after it, had to go back in for more surgery took over 6 months to heal from the inside out with a wound vac and visiting nurses. Just found out I have staples in stomach when I went to chiropractor, is this normal my dr. Never told me.i thought this was free should have known better
The staple is part of surgery and it does not interfere with healing neither causes the infection, if you do have some problem of healing then you should see the surgeon who did the surgery instead of seeing the other persons those have not done it nor related with surgery.
Postoperative complications are there but that can be easily managed with proper care and the only surgeon can do it, it is most advisable to see the surgeon.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
