My 86 yr old husband is exhibiting rapidly increasing signs of dementia, possibly Alz related disease. Increasing moodiness, hearing voices at night in his sleep hearing knocks on the wall. Shuffling gait, severely stooped shoulders. Remembers all the bad eras of our past 65 yrs together, but cant remember what I said 10 min ago. I am committed to caring for him, he is severly vision impaired. The worst part are the horrible temper outbursts. He has threatened violence to someone.
I sleep with a locked bedroom door. He wont even discuss seeing a neurologist, says I am crazy and there is nothing wrong with him. At wit's end. Help.
His mother had related problems in 1979, and his 88year old sister is in the same condition, but apparently going for treatment.
