Pain In Groin And Thigh, Cant Lift Leg, Hurts. Suggestion?
For the last 2 days I have had pain in my upper groin to front of upper thigh almost to hip. It is progressively getting worse. i woke up with it originally feeling uncomfortable and by noon i was limping. It is painful to walk but I absolutely can not lift my right leg when sitting. It looks like I'm joking but I am trying as hard as I can and it doesn't move. I can flex my knee while sitting and kick out...but not lift. When it hurts it is a sharp pain....inexplicable pain. I didn't injure it that I know of. I will call my dr but I'm really am trying to figure out what this could be and how to treat it. I'm 45 female 5'6 160 lbs. no previous health issues...healthy.
Symptoms you refer make me think you have a Radicular Syndrome(pain of sciatic nerve). To prove it you need a x-ray. To treat your pain, you should use warm compresses in your groin, back massage and you need an orthopedic bed. Also you should take Advil® 200mg(2 pills once a day, if you do not suffer of stomach). *Contact your medic for a more detailed treatment and take care of yourself.
