My dearest friend: 64 year old female. Type 2 diabetes for 20 years. No exercise (but always *on the go*). Non smoker for life. Has eaten extremely healthy for 3.5 years prior (fruits, veggies, whole grains, fish, no fat or sugar, no alcohol ever, etc). Um, what else, oh double hip replacement about 15 years ago. Recently suffered massive heart attack . Doctor says she has 90% blockage in 3 arteries. Second Dr. concurs with diagnosis. Both say they won t operate because she won t survive the anesthesia. What are her chances? I m clueless in this matter. I just don t want my friend to die. Help. Hey Sarah, everyone. Ah this lady, I love her so much! We ve been friends for yonks. The doctors say she won t survive a general anesthesia. She won t give me any more detail than what I gave. She s at home right now in a hospital-type bed with 24 nurses. She s going by private ambulance to the nearest big city for a third opinion. I m just hurting. She s like a surrogate grandmother to my kids. She s the mother I never had.
