Should I Keep Repeating LFT Tests Every Couple Of Months For Decreased Liver Enzymes?

Hi! My AST level is 38 and my ALT level is 40 - down from 52 and 43, respectively, 5 weeks ago. I had been taking Tylenol regularly for an extended time - never exceeding dosage. These last 5 weeks I have not been taking any pain meds and my numbers went down. Should I check them again in a couple of months?

Hi,

No need to repeat your liver enzymes, reports again if you are not taking any medication. Moreover, your liver enzyme values were not increased to a significant level. So no need to worry.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Parth Goswami,
