Should A Doctor Be Consulted For Redness In The Legs While On Cilostazol?

my husband has nurapathy in his legs he is not diebetic, age is 69 and is taking cilostazol 100MG twice a day and just saw his vascular & endovascular doctor in July, i noticed his one leg has turned red looks like a sunburn we are scheduled to see his doctor in 7 days again because of this redness. Should we wait the 7 days or see another doctor sooner? his ankle on that leg is swollen

Hi,

I think you should contact the ER and not advisable to wait for 7 more days. There are a few possibilities, the most common is allergic reaction with Cilostazol. Other possible is cellulitis that is the infection of the skin. Thrombosis is less likely but still possible. All these causes need urgent management so I would suggest you should contact ER.
