Suggest Remedy For Hives

I woke up this morning with hives on my buttocks and forearms. My first thought was sitting in a chair yesterday at a friend s house that May have had poison ivy oils on it or something. I showered immediately with tecnu as scrub and have been taking benadryl throughout the day. No improvement. The hives are ALL over my body now. I started a course of Levaquin (which I think I have taken before) Thursday for pneumonia. So today was day 4. Any suggestions?

Dermatologist 's  Response
OK, so, u have got acute urticaria.
I would adv you to start on tab Atarax 25 mg three times daily for 3 days (precaution: it is a sedative antihistamine, so, any work requiring prolonged conc. or driving machinery shouldnot be performed).
Also, apply dermocalm lotion locally twice daily on the lesions.
Try not to scratch the lesions or they will spread.
I hope with this, they will subside completely
Thanks
Take care
