hello doctor, i am currently residing in australia...everything was going on smoothly until i heard a devastating news today...my brother who is 38 years of age just met with an accident yesterday..he was on a holiday and the accident happened to be in the motorway of milan city,italy...a car came and stuck their car from the side and impact was so severe that my brother lost his consciuosness for abt two minutes and when he woke up he said his lower half of the body was numb...and he was airlifted to ospedale niguarda hospital in milan..but the doctors now what they saying is his spinal fibre or tissues(am not sure)has been damaged and that too permanently..they saying some of his parts will be paralysed...just wondering does that really happen and isn't there any treatment for it?also letting u know he looks physically fine and the doctors also said his head, brain, heart and lungs are perfectly ok..the only problem is with his spinal cord...and also the doctors saying one of his ribs is borken...we really devastated and any information on this matter would be highly aprreciated...thank you...
