Hello, my name is Karen. I am a 55 year old caucasion female. height: 5ft 2in, weight 128 lbs. I am healthy and eat well. I have tiny pin point red serous (very itchy) erruptions on my scalp. I have had this 3 times over the past 11 years; each episode lasting 1 - 6 months. I have been assessed by a physician and dermatologist. Physician noted that my hair folicles seemed infected; dermatologist did not really investigated - simply stated I needed to relieve some stress. I have scratched two areas causing bleeding. I do not have head lice. I have washed my head with tar shampoo, psoriasis shampoo, selsum blue shampoo and applying hydrocortizone cream to the affected areas. I have to wash my head daily with selsum blue to control the itching. There must be some type of screening for fungus, mites or other potential scalp infestations/dermalogical conditions; plus there has to be some type of effective treatment. Please advise. Thank you.
