I'm 32 years old, residing in Gurgaon. I'm suffering from some medical condition and was confused about which medical department should I go for treatment.
Around 7 years back, I was diagnosed with a disc Buldge (L5-S1). Initially few years were quite painful but slowly with the help of drugs and exercise I'm able to recover to be able to do my routine work. As part of regular checkup, recently I got my complete tests done, including Bone Densitometry. To my surprise, it figured out that I'm suffering from Osteoporosis spine with Osteopenia both femur. I was very disheartened and felt miserable that at this age having such medical condition may impair me from lot of activities in life. I also started feeling that probably the disc buldge could have been because of week bones and tissues.
To diagnose the cause, I got PTH, Protein Electrophoresis and Testosterone tests done but all of them are negative. I'm taking Calcium and D3 supplements and weekly dose of Gemfos. But I want to consult a specialist for the long term treatment of Osteoporosis. From my searches on Internet, I could find that typically the specialist - Endocrinologist, Orthopeadician or Rheumotologist may be consulted. So, I need your help in suggesting me
