Suggest Treatment For Bleeding Wound On Knee After Melanoma Removal

Hi Doc , I have recently been in surgery to remove Melanoma cancer, 3 surgeries later and I am still struggling with the last wound , it opens up and bleeds. My Surgeon thinks it could be the lymph trying to drain from my knee or it could be the inteferon alpha that I am on. My question is ? why does no one give me any solutions, I cant keep going back for more stitches and this cant continue bleeding every day. I need to walk again at some stage. Would you recommend me going off the inteferon alpha for a few weeks or going for lymph drainage? what are the answers why wont this wound heal ? thank you so much in advance

Hello,

Check your clotting factors by PT, APTT, and serum vitamin K levels, along with that check your platelet count. If there is any deficiency of these factors, blood won't clot. Check there levels and report to your physician.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Sandeep Golla
