Suggest Treatment For Brown Spots On Back

I am a 19 year old, 5 foot, 95 pound girl & I have had brown spots on my back for a few months now, We've tryed soap & water & many different lotions, The spots turn red then back to brown but don't go away. Were not sure what it is, But we've considered thoughts of: Shingles, Scabies & Leprosy. But they don't hurt or itch & don't appear to be contagious. One of my grandfathers was in a forigne country & got malaria. Please help us find the answer!
