Suggest Treatment For Burning And Itching In Vulva Region

Hello. I have a question--I have been having some mild burning and itching in my vulva area. It started about a week ago when I was just showering as normal, and I washed my vaginal area with soap and water. After I got out of the shower, I had sex with my husband, and the burning and itching started at my labia shortly thereafter. It did seem to diminish for a couple of days but yesterday I went to play paintball with my husband and I guess I got a little too sweaty down there and the itching/burning/irritation is worse. I am currently on my period, I do take birth control (Sprintec), and I have not had any strange or foul-smelling discharge which would lead me to believe that I have a yeast infection or bacterial vaginosis.

I've had a yeast infection before but I haven't really had this problem, and I have a strong suspicion that the soap and then sex right after (I probably didn't dry off well enough) is causing all of this irritation and yesterday made it worse. Any ideas on what can help? Thank you!

Sincerely,
Lindsey
