Suggest Treatment For High Pulse Rate While Having COPD

I have copd, and when I get a little active like changing my bed sheets or other house work my pulse rate goes very high and I feel bad when that happens. I thought it was because of low 02,but when I checked it was fine .just the pulse was 130 . Is this anything I should worry about.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

High pulse rate with COPD commonly occurs due to hypoxia & causes stress on the right ventricle. Pulmonary hypertension manifests such symptoms & it may cause heart failure. You are suggested to get clinically examined by a GP. Get all the blood & Imaging tests done to detect any developing pathology in the cardiovascular system, get treated (for COPD & cardiac disorder) at the earliest.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K, General & Family Physician
