Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
i cut all of my fingers , except my thumb on Easter of this year. I went to the emergency room. The doctor told me that i was lucky and that I did not damage my ligaments or tendons. The cut was deep. The middle two fingers were cut almost to the bone. ( after looking at some surgery videos online what i thought was bone then could have been my flexor tendon).
Anyway my concern is that I can only make my fingers straighten out. I can't close my hand or make a fist. If I close my fingers with my other hand i can force my fingers open naturally.
Is there a different tendon that makes my hand close. or do i just need more recovery time?
