Hi I'm a 25yr old female of normal weight/height and I've recently been diagnosed with internal snapping hip syndrome.I've had this condition for 6+ years.

I had an ultrasound guided injection of a corticosteroid on the 12th of this month. It was injected directly into the iliopsoas tendon (on the right hand side) as it snaps and clicks and sometimes gets so bad it causes pain. I was told at the time that if the corticosteroid didn't help with the snapping or pain, then I would need to have physiotherapy, an operation and then physiotherapy again.

I still get the snapping now so I don't quite know if the corticosteroid has worked, but the thing that bothers me the most is that when the sonographer did the ultrasound, he saw another consultant who asked for my age/condition and then stated that there was something there on the scan.

They made no mention of what it was he found to me, but they asked me to make it snap/click as I can do it voluntarily. I'm going for a follow-up in 2 weeks but would anyone know what it was that the sonographer saw on the scan as it's making me worried and I don't know why he didn't tell me what it was? Could it be inflammation?
