Suggest Treatment For Itching Sensation At Opening Of Vagina

Hello,
Recently I have been experiencing some occasional itching at the opening of my vagina. I thought perhaps the itching was due to a yeast infection, so I treated myself for one a few days ago. After I treated myself for the possible yeast infection, I noticed the itching was still present. I examined myself with a mirror and noticed small soft and fleshy, finger-like pink protrusions around the opening of my vagina (along both sides of the opening, and only in that location). My heart sank, because my first reaction was genital warts, although I have been in a monogamous relationship for over 13 months. I've been researching genital warts on the internet but what I have is closer in appearance to vestibular papillomatosis, however none of the literature I have found lists itching as a possible symptom.

I think it is important to mention that I was treated by a gynecologist for a bacterial infection about two months ago, but he didn't mention any visual abnormalities during my pelvic exam. I fully intend on making another appointment to address this matter, but I was hoping you could help ease my worried mind. My fear is that it is HPV related genital warts because of the itchiness.
