Suggest Treatment For Painful Knot Below The Toes

I have a painful knot inside my left foot , it is in the ball part below my toes..I also have been having bad pain in my toes and numbness.. I am diabetic but do not think it has anything to do with being diabetic since my sugar stays close to normal..i am really scared about this can you give me any info...thank you, kat
