Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
i have rapid heart beat around 2:00 a.m. or 3:00 a.m. I have head a nuclear test and echocardiogram and they were normal. I went to endocrfinologist and blood samples were normal. I had thought it was potassium levels as my potassium at one time was 5.8 but now it is 5.3 and I still wake up with rapid heart beat.
Heart rater can increase transiently like in conditions like after physical exertions and during periods of anxiety etc. It will settle by it self without any treatment.
This is a normal thing and nothing much to worry about it. As your cardio work up is clean no treatment is required as of now.
Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
