Hello. I have had RLS (Restless Leg Syndrome) for about 6 years now but only over the past year sought out medical treatment for it. I have been reading quite a bit about RLS on several forums. The neurologist that I have been seeing has tried a multitude of the typical RLS medicines with no success (requip, mirapex, lyrcia, neurotonin, etc.. About 4 months ago I pulled my back and was prescribed vicodin. I was surprised to find that when taking (2) Vicodin at bedtime, my RLS symptoms completely disappeared. I have talked with my neurologist about this however he is leary to prescribe any narcotic. Each time he prescribes something different, it is always 'wait for a month and let me know how it goes'. The problem is that I continue to get no sleep at night or have severe problems getting to sleep. Should I seek another neurologist?
