I have severe weakness in both legs, both hip, knees and ankles are weak and unstable, unable to bear weight on either side, with my ankles and lower legs ballooning up with swelling on a daily basis. I fractured my T12, 4 years ago and hadf fusion surgery, and it feels now as though my SI joint has been dislocated, it feels as though every day is a balncing act of trying to balance my torso on top of my legs, and pain seems to run from the pelvic region of my back radiating up and down my entire body, with cramps in my lower legs, chronic sciatic pain on both sides, spasms and shooting and tearing pain in my upper back. As part of my unstable burst T12 , the MRI also showed failure of segmentation of the lumbosacral junction, which I assume is a contributing cause of the hip and pelvic instability, which is in turn causing the lower joint instability (hip, knees &ankles) as well....??? I had gender reassignment surgery 18 months ago, and have had difficulty getting the GP's at my local surgery to properly examine me. in fact it's been a struggle to even get a GP to come out to see me at all, the one time a GP called he didn't even examine me, and said it was probably just coccygydinia, though as I say there was no examination made and given my MRI results I felt the area myself and could feel that its not my coccyx that the problem starts at, but is actually my entire sacrum is displaced forward and up and is out of the SI joint completely, how can I get my GP to treat me, if he won't even examine me..? I have tried asking for different GP's in my GP surgery to see me, but I meet the same resistance in getting anyone to see me..I'm at my wits end and don't know where to turn to, any help or advice you can give me, even if just who I should contact to get something done, would be hugely appreciated...desperately hoping you can help..?
