Suggest Treatment For Small Toe Pain

I am having a severe pain on my small toe esp. when I have on shoes. It goes away after I rub it or take the shoe off. I have had a corn in between the toes for a long time and I treated it last year with over the counter corn removal med. but it seems to have come back. It is located at the bottom of the toe in the middle of the toe bed. Is this nerve pain from that?
