Suggest Treatment For Sprain In Ankle With No Fracture

I got ankle sprain in left leg a week before, however i can walk easily ....

but the there is bit swelling in lateral malleolus, the outer bump of the ankle,

As per the xray there is no fracture nor hairline, but doctor say its a torn there and would recomment plasture .

Pls help do i really go for plasture as i can walk, and there is no fracture
