Suggest Treatment For Swollen Spot On Leg After Cervical Surgery

my husband had anterial cervical surgery on aug 10, a few days ago he found a swollen spot on his leg, which he thought was a boil....he has them often. yesterday it ended up being a hole about the size of a quarter, with puss, and went to dr today, who said it was fine, and NORMAL... sorry, a hole where there wasn t one.. to me, is NOT, NORMAL... please help
