Suggest Treatment For Tenderness On My Right Side Rib

Hi, I had a colonscopy this past Thursday with the removal of a polyp "high up" and a biopsy. Friday, while at work, I noticed tenderness on my right side, just below my bottom rib. It felt like a bad bruise but there was no discoloration on the skin. I also felt lumps or ridges near the tenderness. I called the doctors office and they sent me to the ER. CAT scan revealed no air flow but I was diagnosed with actute mesenteric panniculitis. Is this related to the colonoscopy, polypectomy, biopsy?
