What Are The Aftermath When Corticomedullary Is Lost?
its about my uncle.He is 70 years of age.Doctors and reports are saying that his both kidneys functions has stopped and he is on dialysis process right now.there is a thing printed on the report saying corticomedullary is lost.what would be the effect aftermath, if it is so?what it is supposed to mean in general.thanks a lot.cheers.

As an Urologist, i can assure you, poor cortico-medullary differentiation is consistent with chronic kidney disease.
This change is noted on an ultrasound scan, in patients with poorly functioning kidneys. This's an early indicator of kidney disease.
The most important change is seen with rising level of creatinine, urea,and potassium. The blood pressure may also increase.
