What Are The Side Effects Of Steroid Injection?

I received a steroid injection in my knee this morning. Tonight, my hands and wrists began to feel numb and tingle. At midnight, the tingling has moved up into my forearms while continuing in my hands and wrists. Is this normal or should I be concerned? I am 37 years old, female, 5'6", approx. 195 pounds. I took tylenol this afternoon and aleve tonight, as directed by the doctor. My knee swelled and hurt after the shot. My knee feels better tonight, but the tingling is bothering me. I had healthy b/p this morning before the shot.
