What Can Be The Reason For Bleeding And Clots?

Hello. I am a 30 year old female with 2 young children. I had a uterine biopsy yesterday afternoon. Approx. 7 hours ago I started bleeding profusely, and am now passing 2-3 inch blood clots. On a scale of 1-10 with cramping pain, they range from a 4-8. Since this afternoon I have been changing my sanitary napkin every 15-45 mins because of blood flow. At times, I sit on the toilet because of the large blood clots passing and the blood flow is very heavy when this takes place. I do not have regular cycles, and go months without a period. Reason for biopsy is enlarged uterus and thick uterine lining. Sonographer found no fibroids. Not sure if I need to seek medical attention immediately, or if this bleeding and clot size is normal after a uterine biopsy is performed. As the evening progresses the bleeding and clots have gotten much worse. I have never experienced this amount of blood loss and clot size before. Is this an emergency or can I wait it out a little longer? Thanks in advance for your help.
