What Can Cause Black Bowel Movement Along With Abdominal Pain?
Hello. I used to take B12 supplements but my doctor told me to stop and only take them when I'm on my period. So that's what I did but then my stool came out black with a very little shine of dark green. The structure was also really fluid (?). And yes I do have a little pain in my stomach but I can't tell wether it's from my period or anything else. Can anybody help?
There are many causes for black color stools. Most commonly iron tablets consumption or bismuth contain antacids consumption or irritable bowel syndrome or eating of green leafy vegetables etc.
Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is. Use tablet Pantoprazole.
Avoid spicy food and caffeine drinks. Use soft diet and lactose or gluten-free food. If symptoms not improved please consult your doctor, he will examine and treat you accordingly.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Penchila Prasad Kandikattu,
