What Can Cause Blurred Peripheral Vision And Pain Behind The Eyes?
Hi, I have been experiencing for about 2 months sudden vision disturbances several times a week. Suddenly without any warning the peripheral part of my vision becomes wavy and blurry. The lights seem to have a bit of a glare or wave to them during this time. My vision does not get dark. This occurs in my left or right eye but not both eyes at the same time. It is more frequently my Left eye but several times has been my right eye. When this occurs I also seem to have other areas of my vision that is clouded out. These are not large areas but rather small areas that do not look black or dark but rather just spots where the ability to see that spot is absent. These vision problem episodes last around 20-30 minutes and then gradually clear up over 10-15 min. Immediately after this vision issue I get a headache behind my eyes. The headache is cared for with Ibuprofen and is not severe but a 4 or 5 /10 pain. I had LASIK surgery 4 or 5 years ago. I am not diabetic or hypertensive nor do I have any infections that I am aware of.
