Hi,

The symptoms indicate that the fungus may have spread to your esophagus and caused esophagitis. Esophagitis presents with this strange feeling that something is stuck in the throat and it's painful to swallow. In such cases an endoscopy is required for confirmation. It's important to know whether a fungal esophagitis is present or not because it will affect the choice of antifungal treatment and its duration as well.

Therefore, you'd better discuss your symptoms with your primary care physician in order to be referred to a gastroenterologist for an upper gastrointestinal endoscopy. The primary care physician can also check some basic parameters like your oxygen saturation which may provide clues regarding your breathlessness. Ciprofloxacin has nothing to do with thrush treatment. Actually, it may cause thrush itself! Perhaps you could clarify - with your doctor - whether continuing it is necessary or not.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
