my husband has been experiencing excessive nose bleeding it s not his blood pressre. it s comes on suddenly no one can find case. he had it caterized it s been packed he had a Ballon inserted he even had a procedure where the went thru his groin it s stops for awhile (year to couple ) months then they start again. he feels a bubbling & he smell blood before each nose bleed. do you have any ideal what is causing this. he has always been high strung
Uncontrolled bleeding may be due to telangiectasia, nasal polyps or sinusitis or drug-like Coumarin or antiplatelet drugs etc.
Avoid antiplatelet drugs, avoid excessive blowing of the nose, use the normal saline nasal spray if the climate is dry. Use the humidifier in the room.
Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is. Please get it done a nasal endoscopy. If bleeding is present, they may need to ligate the artery of bleeding.
Please consult your ENT specialist, he will examine and treat you accordingly.
