LATELY I HAVE BEEN HAVING HARD TIME TO TURN MY HEAD EITHER WAY ,WHEN I DO IT ,I GET A SHOOTING SHOCK OR PAIN UP TO MY EARS ,,AND ALSO IN MY NECK GOING UP TO MY EARS ,,I'M 77 YEARS OLD ,,HAVE HAD VERY LITTLE HEALTH PROBLEMS OF ANY KIND IN MY LIFE, I DON'T DRINK ,I SMOKE A LITTLE , AND I GET SOME PRETTY GOOD EXERCISE , I DON'T LIKE OR EVEN USE AIR CON ,,

Hello,

You may be suffering from cervical spondylosis with compressive neuropathy.

Take rest, Avoid elevation of the head while sleeping. Use calcium tablet once a day for one month. Use tablet Pregabalin once daily for five days.

Use a cervical soft collar. physiotherapy and painkiller medication is useful.

If symptoms not improved please get it done cervical x-ray ap view and MRI spine.

Consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hi,

Muscular spasm of neck region could be the cause of pain in ear, second possibility of wax impaction also need to be ruled out, it can be inflammatory condition of inner neck, you can try analgesic on empirical basis, it can be self limiting, if the symptoms long last then ENT opinion is must.
